Description

Ganesh is one of the most popular guardian deities worshipped by Hindus and Buddhists alike. Ganesh is said to be the eliminator of obstacles and is worshipped daily by all . Ganesh ,the elephant headed god of wisdom and success is the defender and remover of obstacles and has to be propitiated first before worshipping any other  gods. Being one of the sons of Shiva he  bestows success in any form of work. His elephant head has only one full tusk and the other was broken during a battle with the demons .He rides on a mouse which is also his vehicle for transportation .  In his right hand he carries a mala or a set of beads in a string of thread and a laddu i.e. sweet ball and in the left hand a parasu i.e. an axe and a radish.

It so happened once that Kumara ( his brother ) challenged Ganesh to circumambulate the world. The winner was to be awarded to be worshipped by the people first. Kumara traveled the world with his vehicle peacock several times and was about to report this to parents  Lord Shiva and Paravati . At that moment Ganesh thinking that he would not be able to circumambulate around the world he just circled around lord shiva and parvati. When asked why he did so he answered very wisely that the world wasn’t as great as his parents and that by circling them he circled the whole universe and much more. This lead to his victory and as a result he his worshipped before any other gods.

Amazed by their customer service and collection. Would definitely recommend them to everyone

Really Great Customer Service and very beautiful thangka collection.

This is a magnificent piece of Buddha Shakyamuni thangka. Masterfully executed in rich, vibrant colors with illuminating detail; The silk brocade frame compliments the painting beautifully and forms a focal point in our praying/meditation room I receive the piece earlier than expected in good shape; and prior to purchase, Rajendra was responding quickly and very helpful in providing high resolution picture for my further evaluation. Thank you Rajendra and surely I will be back again.

I was extremely pleased with the quality of the unique thangka I received, as well as the immaculate brocade. Communication with Ritual Thanka has been a pleasure, and shipping was faster than I could have hoped for. Six stars! :)

This is my second purchase - and it will not be my last. Service is fast and efficient. My first thanka came incredibly well packaged.

Thank you Ritual Thangka for your amazing work and wonderful warm communication. I'm very grateful for these beautiful pieces of artwork, and so proud to have the two Thangkas adorning my shrine room. They are both spectacular, but this Avalokitesvara (my favourite) is even more magnificent than I could have imagined! I'm also amazed that you got it to me so quickly and safely, despite the pandemic. Thank you!

So gorgeous and well made. A fine piece of work by the Thangka team - thank you.

Wow this Thangka is gorgeous. It is difficult shopping online and choosing brocade but the Thangka team were great And very patient with me. The quality of art work and sewing is incredible. I would recommend strongly that you buy from this shop as you could not do better! 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐘𝐨𝐮 to everyone who made it.

Beautiful, vibrant colors with highly detailed images

I really appreciated the communications with the good people at ritualthanka, they offered excellent customer service and helped me navigate this meaningful purchase. Further, the thangka itself is magnificent and placed on a perfectly suited brocade. I strongly recommend thangkas from ritualthanka, such a rare combination of quality and sincere customer service.
