Buddha Mandala:

A traditional Tibetan Buddhist painting known as a "Buddha Mandala Thangka" shows the central figure of Gautama Buddha encircled by complex patterns and symbols. The mandala is made in a circular shape with vivid colors and great attention to detail.

The mandala's focal point is a statue of Gautama Buddha, who is portrayed as being in a meditative position with his eyes closed and his hands making a teaching or giving motion. There are images of other gods, bodhisattvas, and symbols that stand in for many facets of Buddhist doctrine and practice all around the Buddha.

Each of the portions in the mandala's outermost circle represents a different god or symbol. The four cardinal directions and the elements of earth, water, and fire are represented by these symbols.
