Description
Lokeshvara Mandala:
The Bodhisattva Lokeshvara is depicted in the middle of a traditional Buddhist painting known as the Lokeshvara Mandala Thangka. Five Dhyani Buddhas, each symbolizing a distinct facet of enlightenment, surround Lokeshvara.
The mandala is often made of brilliant colors and exquisite features, and it has a circular shape. Lokeshvara, also known as Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion, sits in the middle of the mandala. His four arms are seen clutching various symbolic objects, like as prayer beads or lotus flowers, in each hand.
Around Lokeshvara, each of the five Dhyani Buddhas faces the appropriate direction. These Buddhas, who stand for the five elements of earth, water, fire, air, and space, respectively, are Akshobhya, Amitabha, Ratnasambhava, Amoghasiddhi, and Vairocana.
